    Abstract
This presentation draws on concepts of Slow and Fast articulated in popular and scholarly literature to examine the equity of access to time in the neoliberal university. The talk emphasizes an ethics of care described in Mountz et al (2015)* and incorporates care into specific acts of rebellion against market-driven notions of productivity and efficiency. The presentation concludes with an assertion that data librarians play a role in reinforcing the capitalist values of the neoliberal university. The work includes prompts for timed writing exercises that encourage attendees to reflect on their experiences with and reactions to these concepts.
