This zine highlights and brings awareness to voices rarely heard in higher education and academia. It was meant to give voice to and created in solidarity with those who have been disempowered and marginalized through the systems of oppression known as the American university.
On September 17, 2016, the KU & Haskell Womyn of Color Collective held their third annual retreat, which was open to all students, staff, and faculty who identify as women of color. One of the activities during the retreat was the creation of this zine.
