dc.description.abstractThe intention of this project was for the Mid-Missouri Area Health Education Center to provide outreach and evaluation services to targeted populations in Mid-Missouri. The focus was on rural health care providers and their patients and rural county public health departments. The program involved assessment and evaluation, consumer health information, education, public health, and technology. The principal investigator worked with Community Based Organizations, Local Departments of Health, and Support or Advocacy Groups.

During the project period, the principal investigator provided 15 demonstrations and/or training sessions (some that also include evaluation). The training sessions included: Searching MEDLINE using PubMed; Obtaining consumer health information using MEDLINEplus; Introduction to health resources on the Web; Introduction to using the Web; and Evaluating health information on the web
