The paper reprises and highlights the re-emerging study of Slovene slang phraseology, which had been taken up the last time a quarter century ago. In the meantime, the Internet has appeared as a new medium that fosters even more rapid dissemination of information and change in slang in its fundamental elements, i.e., dysfemism, interlinguism, and punning. The Internet because of its mass accessibility as a new carrier of information moves formerly closed and marginal social communication situations into the broad public and mass-communicative sphere, as these elements have even found their way into advertising.
