dc.description.abstractA distinctive new species of Gastrotheca from the Rio Chanchamayo Valley in the Cordillera Oriental in Peru is the only known member of the genus that lacks a tympanum. Another new species from the Cordillera de Carpish is distinctive in having a pair of lateral brood pouches and only basal webbing on the foot.en_US
