dc.description.abstractIn this paper we study ground state solutions to the focusing, nonlinear Schrödinger equation iut = −∆u − |u|2σ u, u ∈ C R; H 1 (R) , σ ≥ 0 and determine the values of σ for which such solutions exist, and are stable.
