dc.description.abstract | The research described in this report represents the further development of a series of studies to develop and test screening procedures for learning disabilities among adolescent and young adult populations. The classification of students on a checklist in which they responded to self-statements concerning learning problems remained similar for most students across two successive administrations of the checklist. The validity of the checklist was only partially supported. The checklist was effective in discriminating LD students from normally-achieving students, but less effective in discriminating between LD and low-achieving students. | en_US |
