dc.description.abstract | This paper conducts a critical examination in a deconstructive manner of a series of paintings by the author. It closely mirrors a post-structuralist style of questioning. It utilizes deconstructive tactics and notions formulated by Jacques Derrida. This paper poses interpretations on issues such as the limit of an image and the relationship between text and representations. It utilizes the terminology of semiotics to contrast different types of symbolism. | |
