RINGS provides a complete open source system that scales to the entire campus for both wired and wireless infrastructure. This system includes layered security, DHCP services, device registration, account management, security notifications, device security, and an administrative interface that provides tools to technicians, management, and IT security that they need to get their job done effectively. Over the last two years that KU has been using RINGS it has moved forward as technology and security issues have changed. Technologies such as 802.1X and integration with other systems already in place on your campus network have been at the forefront of our development efforts.
Description
