Subject: Re: American Studies articles in KU ScholarWorksThat's fine, Marianne. We grant permission for authors to post their own works in institutional repositories as long as the full citation is there. We've been treating this differently than reprint permissions. Thanks. Sherrie

Subject: American Studies articles in KU ScholarWorks
Hi, Sherrie. I am working with Stuart Levine to get his articles into KU ScholarWorks and had a question. As you know, he published almost 80 articles in American Studies between 1960 and 1987. Unfortunately, I can’t find American Studies’ policies regarding authors posting articles from American Studies in an institutional repository. Do you know what that policy is, or whom Stuart or I could ask? I would love to include this information when I send him the listing of the publisher policies for all of his articles.
These articles are all available on the American Studies site. Ideally, we could extract his content from the issues available online, and post them for him in KU ScholarWorks. We would make sure that full citation of the original article and a link to the published version would be in the KU ScholarWorks record.
Please advise. Thank you!
Marianne Reed
