dc.description.abstract | Personal hygiene is an important area related to positive health. Three participants who independently brushed their teeth but did not brush frequently or completely were taught to record and implement a self-management checklist. Behavioral Skill Training (BST) was used to train participants to accurately complete and implement the checklist. Results showed that all participants increased accuracy of toothbrushing steps and learned to independently implement the checklist. These results indicated that those with appropriate pre-requisite skills can benefit from learning how to implement self-management strategies. Limitations and recommendations for future research were discussed. | |
