dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this project is to determine how the mix of the local employment base has changed over time. Areas examined include: the importance of the role of the University in the Lawrence/Douglas County economy, and if growth in other categories, such as Manufacturing, have provided an increase in economic diversity. In addition, there is concern about the relationships in patterns of growth of population and overall employment and changes in commuting patterns.en_US
