dc.description.abstractThe focus of this paper is on the issues which affect the international competitiveness of the Kansas industrial sector. We will first provide some indicators of the participation of Kansas industry in the global economy and analyze the main factors that affect this involvement. Second we will analyze two dimensions of international competitiveness of Kansas industry, namely the basic elements underpinning general competitiveness and then the special difficulties for Kansas industry in accessing and competing in international markets. Some policy issues relating to Kansas' participation are developed.en_US
