| dc.description.abstract | The questions posed by this survey fall into three categories. (For a full text of the questions and responses, see the Appendix.) To discover housing perceptions, there were several questions about Kansas as a place to live now and in the future. To document actual demographics and housing trends, there were several questions taken from the 1980 United States Census, such as: the nature and size of living quarters, the value of the property, the rent and the utility costs for the living unit. To assess the relationship between the types of respondents and housing conditions, there were questions about personal characteristics such as: household income, percent of income spent on housing, age, household size, length of tenancy, race, sex and county of residence. | en_US |
