dc.description.abstractA 2022 study conducted by researchers at the University of Kansas Institute for Policy & Social Research examined and quantified the economic costs of the Kansas government’s decision to forgo Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The researchers looked at various expenditures in Kansas, as compared to states that expanded Medicaid in 2014 per the ACA and states that had not yet expanded Medicaid as of 2019. This issue brief highlights specific findings from the analysis.en_US
