This dataset is made available as a file containing tweet identifiers (tweet ids) for all collected tweets from the BlackAtKU Twitter archive. The identifiers can be used to query the Twitter API and gain access to the full tweet data. Any tweets that have been deleted or made private since the collection date will not be retrieved. Twarc can be used to "hydrate" the tweet identifiers. https://github.com/DocNow/twarc. For questions, please contact ksrlref@ku.edu.en_US
dc.description.abstract2019-2020 student body president Tiara Floyd, the first woman of color to hold the office at the University of Kansas, started the Twitter hashtag #BlackatKU in June 2020 to give students, faculty, and staff of color at the University of Kansas a place to share their experiences with racism and microaggression while studying and working at KU. The hashtag was begun amid nationwide protests regarding the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor during the Black Lives Matter movement.en_US
