The preparation and the study of some sulfanilamide derivatives was begum because of the great progress in chemotherapy now being made, and the usefulness of the sulfa compounds especially, in combating various forms of infection. Even though it is realized that the number of compounds synthesized by the chemist is far in excess of those that have been actually investigated for their medicinal value, more and more compounds are steadily being made. It was with a hope that perhaps some of the compounds synthesized in this study might be investigated further for their medicinal value that this work was first begun.en_US
