In this architecture design studio, students were required to create questions to ask the Kansas City School for the Blind to understand their needs for a new educational facilities design. The research had an immediate impact on how they respond to the needs of students with visual impairments and the need for sensory environments to feel comfortable in their spatial environments. The student presented their findings to researchers, professional architects and teachers at the Kansas City School for the Blind. The presentations were conducted in visual, oral and written forms.
