This study examines The University of Kansas during the years from 1960 to 1975. It in no way represents a definitive history of the university during that time. But through the combination of chronological and subject chapters, the author hopes to capture the essence and character of The University of Kansas. Chronologically, the study will observe the university from the perspective of the administration. Subject chapters will interrupt the narrative, focusing on areas which reveal, in microcosm, the fabric of higher education, generally, and The University of Kansas, specifically.
