Oral history interview with Dave Buhler conducted by Diego Guerrero on March 16, 2017. A convert to the Mormon religion, Dave Buhler is a man in his early 70’s who had experience working various jobs and living all throughout the continental USA. He’s been atraveling salesman, a realtor and a commercial airline pilot, and he’s had the opportunity to live through many of the changes in the LDS church. Joining the church in late 1978, Mr. Buhler experienced the Priesthood Ban’s effects as well as the adjustment period for its removal. He also had the experience of raising children in the LDS church, all of whom continue to practice the tradition. Both the this interview and the interview with his wife Beth occurred at their family home in Lawrence.
