T Australian composer Carl Vine wrote The Anne Landa Preludes in 2006. Pianist Michael Kieran Harvey was the first performer to record this set in the same year. This collection of twelve small pieces is the successor to the Five Bagatelles, which were composed in 1994. In this dissertation, I will focus on the analysis of specific musical characteristics as well as performance guidelines with regard to the interpretation of these pieces.
