dc.description | This is one of hundreds of 60-second radio spots created by the Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) for Kansas Public Radio (KPR). The purpose of this outreach program is to introduce the people of Kansas to the culture and current issues of East Asia.
dc.description.abstract | Broadcast Transcript: WTF!? The DPRK tweets. Apparently the lack of internet and personal cell phones does not prevent North Korea from posting news items from its official news service on Twitter. IMHO, it's propaganda in precis form. Here's a sampling of some of the news briefs: Pyongyang squares decorated with anti-US posters, of high ideological and artistic value; UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon blasted as US stooge and finally Matchless and invincible Korean People's Army terrifies US and South Korean puppet forces with songs of praise to Dear Leader Kim Jong-Il. And those are just the ones about the US. OMG! It looks like the Most Closed Society in the World has just become ajar. #hacker #NorthKorea #ceas
