dc.description.abstractOral history interview with Jan Helmer conducted by Lauren Helmer in Marion, Kansas, on December 29, 2010. In this interview, Jan Helmer discusses her recollections of attending Valley Methodist Church in Marion, Kansas, including youth group activities she participated in. She also discusses her family's decision to leave Valley Methodist to attend Eastmoor United Methodist Church, also in Marion, Kansas. This interview was conducted for the Religion in Kansas course taught at the University of Kansas by Dr. Timothy Miller in the fall of 2010.
