dc.description.abstractThis study looks at collections of seals in Mycenaean tholoi tombs and comes to the conclusion that seals were acquired in sets, often with the addition of one or two seals of a blue material (glass, amethyst), which indicates a deliberate act of collecting the seals, probably in Minoan Crete.
