Communion

Abstract

This collection represents some of the work I've done in fiction during the course of my career at the University of Kansas. In line with the guidelines for the M.F.A. in Fiction, the work totals over 25,000 words and is of publishable quality. Some of these works have already appeared in literary journals: "Gemstone" appeared in Vol. 14, 1 of Flyway: Journal of Writing and Environment; "When the Heavens are Bright" appeared in The Moon City Review 2011 edited by Marcus Cafagña. The last part of the manuscript, a three-chapter excerpt from my novel The Faith of the Desert, was chosen as a "Best of" Honorable Mention at the 2010 Eckerd College Writers' Conference.
