Abstract
Homecoming is a full-length poetry collection that documents happenings within a psychological landscape (or inner country), where demarcations between the lived and the imagined do not exist and where people, animals, and inanimate objects break from the confines of their categorizations, in order to relate with each other freely. The events documented are plural, with multiple shades and tones. And, the speakers are full of quirky pronouncements and are often irreverent. To enter this country, passports are not required - since there are no border guards or agents. Travelers stay as long as they want and call the country what they wish. One speaker calls it "The Other Nigeria"; another speaker calls it "Assyria."
