dc.description.abstractURS Corporation is the largest global engineering design firm and a leading U.S. federal government contractor. URS holds multiple contracts with FEMA to provide technical assistance to support FEMA's disaster response, recovery and mitigation mission. Kyle Gonterwitz and Isabella Willsey are GIS specialist from the Overland Park, Kansas office who volunteered to support the recovery in New Orleans. Kyle and Isabella also perform GIS support for several other projects including floodplain mapping, environmental remediation, geotechnical engineering, and water resources.
