Downsizing can have a silver lining - if you look for it. All types of work settings are experiencing it. How do you make it a positive experience? A silver lining may come in the form of fulfilling the work needs and aspirations of personnel who remain on staff. Staff who acquire or absorb new tasks are able to find new efficiencies in old processes. On the other hand, your staff may now have a rationale for ceasing to do things they don't need to do. Downsizing creates these types of opportunities.
