This underexplored nexus encapsulates barriers and opportunities as the trajectory of U.S. energy policy tilts away from fossil fuels. The Essay argues that the energy-land use nexus provides a useful frame for approaching policy to minimize points of conflict between energy goals on the one hand and land conservation on the other.en-USEnergyLand useRenewableFossil fuelTransportationSprawlPower plantDistributed generationSymposium Essay: The Energy-Land Use NexusArticleopenAccess
