Abstract
This book presents a concise yet comprehensive summary of Confucian wisdom regarding social welfare, based on analysis of classical texts, especially the Book of Rites, the Book of Changes, the Book of History, Analects of Confucius, Mencius, Doctrine of the Mean, and the Great Learning. It addresses insights about the wellbeing of the individual, family, society, and world as illustrated through numerous quotes and poems. These insights lead to recommendations for principles that could inspire contemporary social welfare beyond the historical and cultural contexts of the original texts.
