Journal of Asian Legal History

Many readers of this e-journal will know that its founder and editor, Wallace Johnson, passed away in October 2007. A great loss is hard to compensate for, especially when it comes so suddenly and unexpectedly. We will all miss Wally for his energy and enthusiasm, and the world of scholarship will surely feel the loss of a world-class expert on Chinese law, particularly of the Tang, and of a leader and organizer in the larger field of Asian law generally.
The journal ceased publication with Wally’s death in 2007 and no more issues will be published. The existing issues will remain openly available in KU ScholarWorks.
