Two new species of the augochlorine bee genus Caenaugochlora Michener are described and figured. Caenaugochlora (Caenaugochlora) elpidia Engel, new species, and C. (C.) pantochlora Engel, new species, are the first formally described species of their genus from Venezuela. The new species, both from Aragua, can be distinguished from other members of the subgenus by their coloration and pattern of integumental sculpturing.
