dc.description.abstract | There, there. references personal stories and examines affective dualisms through a theoretical lens of intersectionality. The work creates a space for dialogue concerning cultural and bodily awkwardness, as well as a means to find humor in hardship and empathy in embarrassment. My MFA thesis exhibition is a manifestation of these reflections and an attempt to prompt earnest consideration for the confusion that occurs in a search for comfort and place in the midst of converging identities. | |
