Abstract
This unpublished presentation examines the frescoes in Xeste 3, Akrotiri, Thera, identifies the presence of saffron in the frescoes, and correlates the effects of consuming large amounts of saffron (and thereby large amounts of vitamin A) and some aspects in the painting.
