Abstract
This review of J. Neils' The Parthenon Frieze (Cambridge U.P. 2001) gives it high praise but also corrects the repeated notions that the Parthenon is a temple (it is a treasury building) and that the Parthenon is perfect (there are lots of mistakes and unfinished areas).
