Abstract
AbstractUndiagnosed adolescent depression and anxiety lead to severe mental health issues, decreased quality of life, and suicide. High school seniors may have an elevated risk for depression and anxiety. Screening tools such as the PHQA (Personal Health Questionnaire Adolescent) and GAD7 can be used in high school settings to screen adolescents for depression and anxiety symptoms. These tools have been proven effective if utilized in this age group. Early identification of anxiety and depression can lead to treatment and improve outcomes for young adults.Keywords: adolescent, depression, anxiety, screening, tools.
