Abstract
Broadcast Transcript: Pity the poor postal worker here in Shanghai. There are 3,937 people named Chen Jie in the city, each with the same set of characters for their name. Second only to Chen Jie in popularity is the name Zhang Min a name shared by 3,751 people. Two Chen Jies even work in the same office building on different floors and they are forever getting each other's mail. In China, neither rain nor snow nor sleet nor hail nor gloom of night may stay these noble couriers from their appointed rounds, but 7,688 people with either one of two names may cause a slight delay in delivery.#ceas #china #tsutsui #vonholt
