Abstract
The melting characteristics o:f the PbO-ZnO system were determined by cooling curve techniques. A limited solid solubility of about 5 atomic percent ZnO in PbO and a single eutectic of 11 atomic percent ZnO, 89 atomic percent PbO at 1582 degrees Fahrenheit were determined. A PbO-ZnO phase diagram is proposed.
