Abstract
This qualitative case study analyzes the evolution and impact of a restructured developmental education program on the experiences and persistence of Donnelly College students. Through document analysis, a focus group discussion and individual interviews with instructors, advisors and students, the study findings supported previous research regarding validation and integration into the academic climate as critical to successful experiences for and persistence of diverse students.
