Abstract
Wenker sentences, conversations, and anecdotes recorded in 1993 for the Volga German (West Middle German) dialect of Schoenchen, KS. Male speaker, born in 1919.
Description
The recording of German Use in Kansas Pt. 1 has noise inserted about 24 seconds into the recording and also at 7 minutes 18 seconds into the recording to overwrite personal names. In both cases, the speaker is referring to just one person. One recording describes a set of three pictures from an out-of-print coloring book depicting rural farm life. A copy of the pictures is included in the User Guide.
