Abstract
This work is a multilingual dictionary of the Romani language representing the major dialects spoken in Europe. It is a Romani-centered lexical resource designed to serve as a European reference for speakers and learners of the Romani language. It provides vocabulary entries in Romani, followed by equivalents in Hungarian, English, French, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Romanian, Croatian, Slovak, and Greek. The work emphasizes the Romani language as a core component of European linguistic heritage and aims to promote linguistic inclusion and cultural visibility for Romani-speaking communities. It is notable for being the first European dictionary structured around the Romani language, reflecting a wide geographic and cultural reach. The dictionary is intended for both native speakers and learners, as well as educators, translators, and linguists working with Romani and its European linguistic context.
