Abstract
This study sought to describe the personality traits as found on the Personality Research Form, occupational themes as found on the Vocational Preference Inventory, and values as found on the Rokeach Values Inventory of participants identified as being exceptionally imaginative as identified by the NEO Personality Inventory-Revised Openness to Fantasy facet scale within a creatively gifted adolescent population. In addition, this study found that the exceptionally imaginative participants are also high in the trait of absorption, as measured by the Tellegen Absorption Scale. These results hold significant implications for the vocational counseling of highly imaginative clients, particularly in regards to the literary careers, the dramatic arts, and spiritual careers.
