Journal of Asian Legal History
: [10]
Many readers of this e-journal will know that its founder and editor, Wallace Johnson, passed away in October 2007. A great loss is hard to compensate for, especially when it comes so suddenly and unexpectedly. We will all miss Wally for his energy and enthusiasm, and the world of scholarship will surely feel the loss of a world-class expert on Chinese law, particularly of the Tang, and of a leader and organizer in the larger field of Asian law generally. For the time being, the journal has been moved to the present site, so that it can still be conveniently accessed for what it contains. No one has charge of it at the present moment, and its future is as yet undetermined. Collections in this community
